Hey y’all! I’m hungry lets make this quick easy meal. This was yum and enjoyed by both Burra and I. Usually those are the meals I like sharing with you. He’s my recipe tester 😁
So this is what you’ll need.
1 lb of ground chicken
2 bunches green onions
2 1/2 tbs tandoori paste
2 tbs plain yogurt
2 tbs breadcrumbs
1/2 tbs ginger paste
1/2 tbs garlic paste
1 tbs lemon juice
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
Mix all together. You can add a little food dye if you’re not happy with the color from your tandoori paste. I didn’t even bother marinating, I was ready for dinner.
Make into small flat patties. I originally wanted these to be burgers, but unfortunately I didn’t like the bun selection at the market so I went the pita route. No regrets here.
Add a little ghee to the skillet under medium heat. Oil is fine, ghee is just better.
Cook on each side for about 3 mins each.
I used pocket pitas, they were perfect to stuff. I heated them up on the skillet after the chicken was done cooking.
Now ready to stuff, add chicken patties. Two in each half was enough for the sizes I made. Couple of slices of cucumber, red onions and cilantro to garnish.
I mixed a little yogurt with some lemon juice, a pinch of cumin, salt, pepper and cilantro to have with it.
