Classic chocolate chips cookies. I mean, why not?
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoon corn starch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1.5 sticks of unsalted butter softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
Mix flour, baking soda, corn starch and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
In your stand mixer cream the softened butter with both sugars on medium speed. Add in egg and vanilla extract. Lower speed and gradually add in the flour mixture half a cup at a time till combined. Using a rubber spatula fold in the chocolate chips. Cover dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for atleast one to two hours.
*chilling is mandatory so dough doesn’t spread.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees and line two cookie trays with parchment paper.
Roll dough into 2 tablespoon balls with your hands. Leave enough space between the cookies and top with a few more chocolate chips. Baked for 11-13 mins. Allow them to cool on the tray for a bit and move them to a cooling rack.
Grab yourself a cold glass a milk. This is also mandatory! Sit and enjoy one or two maybe three of those cookies you just made!
